Two teams look to continue their playoff push when the upstart New York Knicks get set to clash against the veteran Miami Heat inside the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida. They tip it off at 7:30 pm as both teams try to lock in solid seedings in the postseason.

Bookmaker has installed the Heat as a slim - 2.5 point favorite. 

The Knicks (44-30) have had a nice bounce season, and the buzz surrounding them has been justified. They have a great mix of young talent and some veteran faces, which equals a solid team on the floor. 

New York has also seen the emergence of budding superstar Jalen Brunson. He has clearly defined himself as the face of the franchise going forward, and the fans adore him. He has been a brilliant player to watch and has stepped up his game when they most needed him. 

He enters this game averaging around 27 points per game and has clearly defined himself as a legit scorer in this league. He entered this game having dropped 60 points in a loss to San Antonio and following that up with a 30-point outburst against Oklahoma City—both losses by the Knicks.

He finished March averaging just under 29 points a game as the Knicks went 9-4. Look for him to get the ball to veteran shooting guard Donte DiVincenzo, who has picked up the scoring for the injury-depleted Knicks. 

He is a solid shooter and can get hot at any moment. He enters this game shooting 46% from the floor, including 43% from beyond the arc. He might be averaging 15 points per season, but he dropped 40 points against the lowly Detroit Pistons.

The Heat (41-33) are a veteran team and have been around the block several times. They know what the Knicks are, and they have played them well and challenging over the years. This is different from the rivalry it once was, but they might see each other in the playoffs, which would be interesting. Veteran shooting guard Jimmy Butler still leads the team when it comes to taking the ball in the clutch, and he has had some monster games in his career against New York. 

For the season, Butler is averaging around 21 points per game. In his career, he has torched the Knicks to the tune of 26 points per game. He has always stepped up when he has faced the Knicks, and they will try to double him when he gets the ball.

The Heat will use that and have Butler look for the club's skilled shooters, including guard Tyler Herro, who can shoot, put the ball on the floor, and create his shot off the dribble. 

He is netting around 20 points a game, along with just under five assists. He is the floor general the team has been missing for years. If the Heat can contain Brunson and cool him off, they can win this game. 

They also need to cut down on the sloppy turnovers too. 

The Heat are 3-2 in their last five games and 2-3 in their previous five games against the spread too. They are 21-14 in their road games against the number, and the totals have gone over in three out of their last five games and 17 out of their last 36 at home. The Knicks are 3-2 in their last five games and 4-1 in their previous five games against the spread too. They are also 20-15 in their road games against the number.
