NFL Betting Preview: Arizona Cardinals vs. Houston Texans

November 19, 2023

The Arizona Cardinals will travel to Houston, Texas to face the Houston Texans at NRG Stadium on Sunday afternoon in week 11 of the NFL season with the game scheduled to kickoff at 1:00 PM ET and will air regionally on CBS.

Kyler Murray played well in his first game back after missing the past 11 months as he led the Arizona Cardinals to their first win since week 3 by ending their six-game losing streak with a 25-23 win at home against the Atlanta Falcons while covering the 2-point spread as a home underdog by winning the game outright. Murray didn’t throw for a touchdown and threw an interception, however, he had 249 passing yards and 33 rushing yards in addition to a rushing touchdown. The offense looked improved this week as they scored 25 points after only averaging 13.17 points per game during their losing streak, however, they will be facing a tougher test this week when they travel to face the Houston Texans.

The Houston Texans have been one of the biggest surprises in the NFL this season after finishing last season in last place in the AFC South with a record of 3-13-1 the Texans are only one game behind the Jacksonville Jaguars for 1st place in the AFC South with a record of 5-4 and already defeated the Jaguars on the road in week 3 by a score of 37-17. There’s no doubt that C.J. Stroud has played a pivotal role in the success the Texans have had this season and is the favorite to win Rookie of the Year entering week 11 as he has completed 196 of 318 attempts for 2,626 yards with 15 touchdowns and two interceptions while also rushing for two touchdowns his 2,626 yards is the 2nd most yards this season while also having the 5th best passer rating with a passer rating of 101 and will have an easier test this week when he faces one of the worst defenses in the NFL in the Arizona Cardinals who are allowing an average of 26.3 points per game which is the 5th most in the NFL.
