NFL Betting Preview: Carolina Panthers vs. Tennessee Titans

November 26, 2023

Two rookie quarterbacks who were also 1st round picks in the 2023 NFL Draft will face each other when Bryce Young and the Carolina Panthers travel to Nashville Tennessee to face Will Levis and the Tennessee Titans at Nissan Stadium in week 12 of the NFL season with the game scheduled to start at 1:00 PM ET and will air regionally on Fox.

The Carolina Panthers enter this game with the worst record in the NFL as they enter this game with a record of 1-9 which also puts them in last place in the NFC South. The Panthers have struggled on the offensive side of the ball as they enter this game averaging the 4th fewest points per game in the league as they are averaging 16.3 points per game. Bryce Young has looked like a rookie quarterback this season as he has struggled for the majority of the season. Young enters this game having completed 198 of 319 attempts for 1,683 yards with nine touchdowns and eight interceptions and Carolina is averaging the 5th fewest passing yards per game with an average of 174.4 passing yards per game. The Panthers are also on a three-game losing streak following a blowout loss at home against the Dallas Cowboys by a score of 10-33 and will be looking to end the losing streak when they travel to face the Titans.

Tennessee has also struggled this season with their rookie quarterback, Will Levis, as the Titans are 1-3 since he took over as their starting quarterback and are on a three-game losing streak following last week’s 14-34 loss on the road against the Jacksonville Jaguars which has dropped their record to 3-7 and puts them in last place in the AFC South. However, Will Levis has been serviceable as a quarterback as he enters this game having completed 73 of 124 attempts for 857 yards with six touchdowns and two interceptions. Derrick Henry continues to be one of the best running backs in the NFL as he is 3rd in the NFL in rushing yards with 663 yards while rushing for four touchdowns. The Tennessee Titans will face their easiest opponent this season when they host the Carolina Panthers on Sunday afternoon.

BookMaker has the Tennessee Titans listed as 4-point favorites at home against the Carolina Panthers on Sunday afternoon in week 12 of the NFL season. The teams are 3-3 in the last six meetings while Carolina has won two of the last three matchups. The teams are 3-3 ATS in the last six while the Panthers are 2-1 ATS in the last three games in the series. The Carolina Panthers are 1-7-2 ATS overall, 0-4-1 ATS on the road, and 1-7-2 ATS as an underdog this season while the Tennessee Titans are 4-6 ATS overall, 3-0 ATS at home, and 0-1 ATS as a favorite on the year.

Neither team has been great this season, however, Tennessee is the more talented team and has had better play from their rookie quarterback, Will Levis, than Carolina has had from Bryce Young. The Titans are 3-0 ATS at home while the Panthers have been one of the worst teams at covering the spread this season as they are 1-7-2 ATS overall. Lay the points with the Tennessee Titans on Sunday afternoon.
