The Detroit Lions are the best team in the NFC North and are tied for the 2^nd best record with the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC while also having a 3-game lead over the Minnesota Vikings and Green Bay Packers for 1^st place in the division. The Lions feature one of the best passing offenses in the NFL as they enter this game averaging 263.25 passing yards per game which is the 4^th most in the league and Jared Goff has played a pivotal role in the success the offense has had as he enters this game having completed 291 of 430 attempts for 3,288 yards with 20 touchdowns and eight interceptions while the Lions are the 6^th highest scoring team in the NFL with an average of 27.25 points per game. The Detroit Lions will look to build off the momentum from their 33-28 win on the road against the New Orleans Saints last week when they travel to face the Chicago Bears in week 14 of the NFL season.

Chicago has been the worst team in the NFC North and is tied for the 4^th worst record in the NFC with a record of 4-8, however, they have won two of their last three games including a 12-10 win on the road against the Minnesota Vikings before their bye week. Chicago features a below-average scoring offense as they enter this game averaging 20.17 points per game, however, they have been an above-average rushing offense as they enter this game averaging the 3^rd most rushing yards per game in the league with an average of 137.67 rushing yards per game. The Bears have also been one of the worst scoring defenses in the league as they are allowing an average of 24.67 points per game which is tied for 27^th in the NFL. The Bears will look to win their 2^nd game in a row for the first time this season when they host the Detroit Lions on Sunday afternoon.
