NFL Betting Preview: Cleveland Browns vs. Los Angeles Rams
December 3, 2023
The Cleveland Browns will travel to Los Angeles, California to face the Los Angeles Rams at SoFi Stadium on Sunday afternoon in week 13 of the NFL season with the game scheduled to start at 4:25 PM ET and will air on Fox.
Cleveland has been an above-average team this season despite having below-average play from their quarterbacks. DeShaun Watson didn’t look sharp for the majority of the season and is now out for the remainder of the year with a shoulder injury and now Dorian Thompson-Robinson is questionable for the game on Sunday with a concussion.
However, the success for the Browns this season can be attributed to their defense and the running game as they enter this game allowing the 7
th
fewest points per game in the league with an average of 19 points per game while ranking 3
rd
in the NFL in rushing yards per game with an average of 139.45 rushing yards per game. Jerome Ford and Kareem Hunt have combined for 914 yards and nine touchdowns this season.
The Cleveland Browns will look to bounce back following their loss against the Denver Broncos last week when they travel to face the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday afternoon.
The Los Angeles Rams are on a two-game winning streak following last week’s 37-14 win on the road against the Arizona Cardinals which has improved their record to 5-6 this season which puts them in 3
rd
place in the NFC West.
The offense for the Rams has been below-average this season as they enter this game averaging 21.09 points per game which is below the league average of 21.59 points per game, however, they have had one of the better scoring defenses in the NFL as they are allowing an average of 21.27 points per game which ranks 16
th
in the league.
The Los Angeles Rams will look to extend their winning streak to three games when they host the Cleveland Browns in week 13 of the NFL season.
BookMaker has the Los Angeles Rams listed as 3.5-point favorites at home against the Cleveland Browns on Sunday afternoon in week 13 of the NFL season. Los Angeles has won five of the last six including the previous three meetings. The Rams are 5-1 ATS in the last six and 3-0 ATS in the last three games in the series.
The Cleveland Browns are 6-4-1 ATS overall, 1-3-1 ATS on the road, and 2-2-1 ATS as an underdog this season while the Los Angeles Rams are 5-5-1 ATS overall, 2-3 ATS at home, and 3-2 ATS as a favorite on the year.
Cleveland enters this game with a better record, however, they may be down to their 3
rd
string quarterback as Dorian Thompson-Robinson is questionable for the game with a concussion. The Rams are also on a two-game winning streak while the Browns have struggled to cover the spread on the road as they are 1-3-1 ATS on the road which is why I am buying the .5 point and laying the points with the Los Angeles Rams when they host the Cleveland Browns on Sunday afternoon.
Spooky Express Pick: Los Angeles Rams -3
