NFL Betting Preview: Dallas Cowboys vs. New York Giants

November 12, 2023

A pair of NFC East rivals will square off in week 10 of the NFL season when the New York Giants travel to Arlington, Texas to face the Dallas Cowboys at AT&T Stadium on Sunday afternoon with the game scheduled for 4:25 PM ET and will air as the game of the week on Fox.

The New York Giants lost Daniel Jones with a torn ACL for the rest of the season and will be without Tyrod Taylor until at least week 14 with a rib injury which means they are down to Tommy DeVito as their starting quarterback for the majority of the rest of the season which doesn’t bode well for a team with a record of 2-7 and one that is on a two-game losing streak following last week’s 6-30 loss on the road against the Las Vegas Raiders. Devito struggled after Daniel Jones went down with the injury as he threw for 175 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions and will now have to face one of the best pass defenses in the NFL when the Giants travel to face the Cowboys on Sunday afternoon.

Dallas had a chance to win last week on the final drive against the Philadelphia Phillies on the road, however, the Cowboys were unable to score with 5 seconds left in the game but had the ball at the 27-yard line of the Philadelphia Eagles which resulted in a 23-28 loss for the Cowboys. Dak Prescott has had a nice two-game run in his last two games as he has thrown for 678 yards with seven touchdowns and an interception during that span even though they did not win the game last week they still have one of the best offenses in the NFL as they are averaging 27.5 points per game which is the 3rd most in the league this season and will be going up against a defense that is in the bottom 10 in the NFL in limiting scoring from their opponents as the Giants are allowing an average of 24.11 points per game on the year.

BookMaker has the Dallas Cowboys listed as 17-point favorites at home against the New York Giants on Sunday afternoon in week 10 of the NFL season. Dallas has won nine of the last ten including the previous five meetings in a row while going 7-3 ATS in the last ten and 2-1 ATS in the last three games in the series. The New York Giants are 2-6-1 ATS overall, 1-4 ATS on the road, 2-5-1 ATS as an underdog, and 1-1 ATS in division games this season while the Dallas Cowboys are 5-3 ATS overall, 3-0 ATS at home, 5-1 ATS as a favorite, and 1-1 ATS in division games on the year.

New York has not only been one of the worst teams in the NFL this season but they have also been one of the worst teams at covering the spread going 2-6-1 ATS overall and 1-4 ATS on the road while having also gone 3-7 ATS in the last ten and 1-2 ATS in the last three games against the Dallas Cowboys. I look for the Dallas Cowboys to remain perfect at covering the spread at home when they host the New York Giants who will have their 3rd string quarterback starting on Sunday afternoon.
