NFL Betting Preview: Miami Dolphins vs. Washington Commanders

December 3, 2023

The Miami Dolphins will travel to Landover, Maryland to face the Washington Commanders at FedEx Field on Sunday afternoon in week 13 of the NFL season with the game scheduled to start at 1:00 PM ET and will air on Fox.

Miami has been one of the best teams in the NFL this season and is in 1st place in the AFC East with a record of 8-3 following a 34-13 win on the road against the New York Jets which also extended their winning streak to two games. The Dolphins have had one of the best scoring offenses in the league this season as they enter this game averaging 30.82 points per game which ranks 2nd in the NFL.

The passing offense has been one of the main reasons for the success they have had this season as they are averaging the most passing yards per game in the league with an average of 285.27 passing yards per game. The Miami Dolphins also have the leading receiver in the NFL, Tyreek Hill, who has 88 receptions for 1,324 yards and ten touchdowns on the year. The Dolphins will look to extend their winning streak to three games when they travel to face the Washington Commanders.

The Washington Commanders have lost three games in a row and five of their last six games which has brought their record to 4-8 and puts them in a tie for last place in the NFC East. The Commanders have struggled on defense this season as they have the worst scoring defense in the NFL as they are allowing an average of 29.17 points per game and have no pass rush after trading two of their best pass rushers before the trade deadline.

Washington has been outscored 55 to 105 by their opponents during their losing streak. The defense will have another tough task on Sunday afternoon when they face the 2nd highest-scoring team in the NFL, the Miami Dolphins, at home in week 13 of the NFL season.
