NFL Betting Preview: Seattle Seahawks vs. Washington Commanders

November 12, 2023

The Washington Commanders will travel to Seattle, Washington to face the Seattle Seahawks at Lumen Field on Sunday afternoon with kickoff scheduled for 4:25 PM ET, and the game will air on Fox in week 10 of the NFL season.

Despite trading their two best pass rushers before last week’s game, the Washington Commanders won the game on the road against the New England Patriots which also ended their two-game losing streak and the Commanders allowed less than 20 points for only the 4th time this season. The offense for the Commanders still remains one of the worst in the NFL as they are averaging 21.22 points per game and their defense is the 2nd worst scoring defense in the league as they are allowing an average of 27.22 which is only better than the Denver Broncos and things won’t get any easier as they have to travel to the west coast in week 10 to face the Seattle Seahawks.

Since week 1 against the Los Angeles Rams which resulted in a loss at home by a score of 13-30, the Seattle Seahawks have not lost another game at home and are on a three-game winning streak at home this season two of the losses for the Seahawks have come on the road including a blowout loss last week against the Baltimore Ravens in which the Seattle Seahawks lost 3-37 and only managed 151 total yards offensively. Geno Smith also struggled in the matchup as he completed less than 50% of his passes for 157 yards and an interception, however, Seattle will be looking to extend their home winning streak to four games when they host the Washington Commanders in week 10 of the NFL season on Sunday afternoon.

BookMaker has the Seattle Seahawks listed as 6-point favorites at home against the Washington Commanders on Sunday afternoon in week 10 of the NFL season. The teams are 5-5 in the last ten meetings while Washington has won two of the last three contests. The Commanders are 5-4-1 ATS in the last ten and 3-0 ATS in the last three games in the series. The Washington Commanders are 4-4-1 ATS overall, 4-1 ATS on the road, and 4-1-1 ATS as an underdog this season while the Seattle Seahawks are 4-3-1 ATS overall, 2-1-1 ATS at home, and 3-1-1 ATS as a favorite on the year.

Seattle is on a three-game winning streak at home and enters the game with a better record, however, Washington has been the better team most recently in the series, winning two of the last three games. The Commanders are also 5-4-1 ATS in the last ten and 3-0 ATS in their last three games against the Seahawks while also being one of the best teams at covering the spread on the road this season with a record of 4-1 ATS on the road. I look for the Seahawks to get the win, however, with the way the Commanders have performed in the series and on the road this season I will be taking the points with the Washington Commanders when they travel to face the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday afternoon in week 10 of the NFL season.
