NFL Betting Preview: Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Tennessee Titans

November 12, 2023

The Tennessee Titans will travel to Tampa, Florida to face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday afternoon in week 10 of the NFL season at Raymond James Stadium with the game scheduled to kickoff at 1:00 PM ET and airing regionally on CBS.

Tennessee announced that Will Levis will be their starting quarterback going forward even when Ryan Tannehill is healthy which is no surprise as Ryan Tannehill has struggled this season completing 98 of 158 attempts for 1,128 yards with two touchdowns and six interceptions while Will Levis has improved the offense over the last two games as he has completed 41 of 68 attempts for 500 yards with four touchdowns and an interception. However, the Titans enter this game two games under .500 with a record of 3-5 and are in last place in the AFC South following last week’s 16-20 loss on the road against the Pittsburgh Steelers but will have an easier time in week 10 as the Buccaneers are not as talented defensively as the Steelers have been this season.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers looked like they were going to compete for a division title at the beginning of the year as they started the season off with a record of 3-1, however, since their bye week in week 5 the Buccaneers have lost all four of their matchups to drop to two games under .500 with a record of 3-5 and are in 3rd place in the NFC South while trailing the New Orleans Saints by 1.5 games. The defense for the Buccaneers has struggled during their losing streak as they have gone from allowing an average of 17 points per game in their first four games this season to allowing an average of 24.75 points per game which includes allowing 39 points to the Houston Texans in week 9 of the season, a game they lost by a score of 37-39, however, they covered the 2.5-point spread as a road underdog in the contest.

BookMaker has the Tampa Bay Buccaneers listed as 1-point favorites at home against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday afternoon in week 10 of the NFL season. Tennessee has won seven of the last eight games including the previous three meetings while going 7-1 ATS in the last eight and 3-0 ATS in the last three games in the series. The Tennessee Titans are 4-4 ATS overall, 1-3 ATS on the road, and 4-3 ATS as an underdog this season while the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are 5-3 ATS overall, 1-3 ATS at home, and 1-1 ATS as a favorite on the year.

Despite both teams having an identical record of 3-5, the Tennessee Titans are still the more talented team this season and have looked better offensively with Will Levis as the starting quarterback. The Titans have also covered the spread in seven of the last eight including the previous three matchups in the series. I look for that trend to continue which is why I am taking the moneyline for the Tennessee Titans at -101 when they travel to face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
