The surging Oklahoma City Thunder get set to take on the rebuilding Toronto Raptors Friday night inside the Scotiabank Arena, in Toronto, Ontario, They tip it off at 7:00pm and the Raptors are hoping to stop an ugly losing streak which could reach nine games if they lose again. 

Bookmaker has installed the Thunder as a heavy 14.5 point favorite. 

The Thunder (48-20) have been on fire of late, winners of 13 out of their last 16 games. They are really playing their best basketball at the most pivotal time of the season. They are one of the most exciting teams to watch as they are scoring just over 120 points per contest and they love to get up and down the floor. They have the talent and the depth to get up and down the court and that really puts a ton of pressure on opposing defenses as well. 

On offense, they are led by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander who is having a monster season and has really come into his own. He is averaging around 30 points a game and is hauling down around just under six rebounds a night. He is clearly the face of the franchise and is playing like it. 

The Thunder have connected on 56% from the floor this season, including 38% from beyond the arc. They are a decent shooting team from three-point land and can knock them down on a very consistent level. 

The Raptors (23-46)  have not enjoyed the type of success and season that the Thunder have and they are playing hard but they are just not winning a ton of games this season. They are clearly in a rebuilding stage and they are now trying to see who they can build around going forward. They have dropped eight straight games and would love to snap this brutal slide with a win against a decent team like the Thunder. 

They are led on offense by shooting guard RJ Barrett, who unfortunately will not be available due to the death of his brother per reports. The Raptors will miss his veteran presence and scoring in this one. They will have to rely on their role players and hopefully they can get some help from their bench and keep this game close and competitive. 

As a team, they connect on 56% from the floor and will try to get the ball inside the paint for easy buckets. They will have to really step up their defensive efforts and crash the boards in this game as well. If they can get out and score some quick buckets off of transitional opportunities they can keep the game close. 

The Raptors are 0-5 in their last five games and 1-4 in their last five games against the number. They are a solid 17-17 in their road games against the number and the totals have gone over in just one out of their last five games. The Thunder are 4-1 in their last five games and 1-4 in their last five games against the spread too. They are a solid 17-15 in their road games against the spread too.
