PAC-12 Championship College Football Betting Preview: Oregon Ducks vs. Washington Huskies

December 1, 2023

The 2023 Pac-12 Championship game will feature the Oregon Ducks facing the Washington Huskies in Paradise, Nevada at Allegiant Stadium and will air on ABC at 8:00 PM ET with the winner likely advancing to the College Football Playoffs.

The Oregon Ducks lost the match against Washington on the road earlier this season by a score of 33-36, however, since the loss they have gone on a six-game winning streak and have decimated their opponents as they have won by an average margin of 26 points per game. The Ducks won last week against their in-state rivals in the Civil War by a score of 31-7.

The Ducks have an elite passing offense and one of the best scoring defenses in college football as they are averaging the 2nd most points per game with an average of 45.25 points per game while allowing an average of 15.92 points per game which ranks 7th in college football. Bo Nix is on the shortlist of Heisman favorites as either Nix or Daniels will win the Heisman and if Nix has a good game in a win he’ll win the Heisman as he enters this game having attempted 315 of 401 attempts for 3,906 yards with 37 touchdowns and two interceptions while rushing for six touchdowns. The Ducks will be looking to avenge their only loss this season when they face the Washington Huskies in the Pac-12 Championship game on Friday night.

Washington has been perfect this season as they enter this game with a record of 12-0 and defeated the Oregon Ducks at home earlier this season, however, while the Ducks have decimated their opponents since that game, the Huskies have had a lot of close games as their last three games have been decided by seven points or less including last week’s 24-21 win at home against the Washington State Cougars in the Apple Cups.

The Washington Huskies remain one of the highest-scoring teams in college football this season as they are averaging 38 points per game which ranks 11th in college football and Michael Penix has been a major catalyst in the success the offense has had as he enters this game having completed 280 of 428 attempts for 3,899 yards with 32 touchdowns and eight interceptions. The Huskies will look to remain perfect and punch their ticket to the college football playoffs with a win in the Pac-12 Championship game.
