The 2023 Peach Bowl will take place on Saturday, December 30^th, and will feature the 11^th-ranked Ole Miss Rebels playing the 10^th-ranked Penn State Nittany Lions in Atlanta, Georgia at Mercedes-Benz Stadium with the game scheduled to take place at 12:00 PM ET on Saturday afternoon and will air on ESPN.

 

Ole Miss finished in 2^nd place in the West Division of the SEC with a record of 10-2 while finishing the regular season on a two-game winning streak which included a 17-7 win in the Egg Bowl against their in-state rivals, the Mississippi State Bulldogs, on Thanksgiving Night.

 

The success of the Rebels this season can be attributed to their offense as they enter this game averaging 34.83 points per game while featuring an above-average passing and rushing offense as they enter this game averaging 179 rushing yards and 262.58 passing yards per game. 

 

Jaxson Dart played a pivotal role in the success of the offense as he led the team in passing as he completed 208 of 318 attempts for 2,985 yards with 20 touchdowns and five interceptions while rushing for 377 yards and seven touchdowns. The defense for the Rebels was also above-average as they allowed an average of 22.33 points per game. The Ole Miss Rebels will look to end the season on a three-game winning streak when they face the Penn State Nittany Lions.

 

The Penn State Nittany Lions enter this game ranked 10^th in the College Football Playoff rankings with a record of 10-2 which led to a 3^rd place finish in the East Division of the Big Ten Conference with their losses coming against the Michigan Wolverines and Ohio State Buckeyes.

 

The success of Penn State this year can be attributed to their defense as they had the 3^rd best scoring defense in the nation as they enter this game allowing an average of 11.42 points per game.
