PFL 10 Betting Preview: Clay Collard vs. Olivier Aubin-Mercier
November 24, 2023
The 2023 PFL World Championship event features plenty of exciting battles, with the main event showcasing defending champion Olivier Aubin-Mercier against challenger Clay Collard for the lightweight championship fight. Aubin-Mercier is currently a moderate favorite to succeed with a moneyline of -300.
Location: The Anthem in Washington, DC
Date: Friday, November 24, 2023
Main Card: 8:00 PM ET (PPV)
Prelims: 5:00 PM ET (ESPN+)
Olivier Aubin-Mercier Betting Preview
Aubin-Mercier has won his last nine fights and is aiming to continue that streak. His most recent win was a second round TKO over Bruno Miranda at PFL 9 in August of this year.
He has earned 20 wins so far in his career, with four knockouts, eight submissions, and eight decisions. He has five wins that have ended in the first round and all five of his defeats have come by decision.
“The Canadian Gangster” is undefeated through all nine of his PFL fights. He did not have the best time with the UFC, as he went 7-5 through 12 bouts. However, this has helped shape him into the fighter that he is now.
He has climbed up the world rankings since his debut in the PFL. He is now considered to be the 37
th
best lightweight fighter in the world.
Clay Collard Betting Preview
Collard has won his last three fights and has done well in the PFL this year. His most recent success was a unanimous decision over Shane Burgos back at PFL 9.
He has compiled 24 wins that have been earned by 11 knockouts, three submissions, and 10 decisions. Nine of his victories have ended in the opening round and six of his 10 defeats have been by decision.
“Cassius” had previously gone 1-3 in the UFC, but has made a much better attempt in the PFL at 6-2. His recent performances leading up to this championship battle are his best fights yet, especially in the striking war he had against Burgos.
Collard now ranks as the 71
st
-best fighter in the world rankings for lightweight. This would cap off a tremendous run and the icing on the cake for his resume.
Odds, Series Trends and Free Pick
MyBookie has the odds for this championship battle, which shows that Olivier Aubin-Mercier is a moderate favorite to succeed. Bettors might want to add him to a parlay with other fights on the night to potentially improve his payout. You could also look into prop bets the day of the fight to find better values.
Clay Collard: +190
Olivier Aubin-Mercier: -300
Collard has had a great run to get to this position and compete for a belt. However, Aubin-Mercier is also having one of the best string of performances in his career, which makes him a good choice to win here.
Spooky Express Pick: Olivier Aubin-Mercier in Parlay or Prop
