PFL 10 Betting Preview: Jesse Stirn vs. Josh Blyden
November 24, 2023
The 2023 PFL 10 has tons of exciting fight matchups to bet on Friday, November 24. One battle to look into further is the featherweight bout between Jesse Stirn and Josh Blyden, as Stirn is favored at -250 to win.
Location: The Anthem in Washington, DC
Date: Friday, November 24, 2023
Main Card: 8:00 PM ET (PPV)
Prelims: 5:00 PM ET (ESPN+)
Jesse Stirn Betting Preview
Stirn has won his last four fights heading into this next one. His most recent success was a unanimous decision over Ryan MacDonald in the Art of Scrap 6 back in April of this year.
His success shows 15 wins that are composed of a knockout, six submissions, and eight decisions. He has five first round finishes so far, which shows he has a good chance to end battles early. In four of his six losses, they have come by submission, which shows he has issues defending once on the ground.
“Relentless” will be entering his third bout in the PFL after going 0-2 back in 2021. Previous success has been with Shogun Fights (8-1), where he battled a mix of good and bad competition.
Stirn does not yet have any worldwide rankings, but several regional ones stand out. He is currently considered as the 19
th
-best featherweight in the United States.
Josh Blyden Betting Preview
Blyden has been successful in his last three battles, with two of them being first round finishes. His last win was a split decision over Gui Cury back at National Fighting Championship 130 in March in 2021. Indeed, he has not been active professionally for a couple years.
He has established nine wins consisting of a knockout, five submissions, and three decisions. Five of his nine wins have resulted in first round finishes and both of his losses have been by decision.
He has spent most of his career with the NFC, going 5-2 in the promotion. The question is, can he maintain his winning streak after not fighting professionally in two years?
Blyden does not have any current rankings due to his lack of fighting over a given period of time. However, this would help get him back on track if he were to come out strong here.
Odds, Series Trends and Free Pick
MyBookie currently has the odds moderately favoring Jesse Stirn to win this matchup. Bettors should consider adding him to a parlay with other battles in the night to potentially increase his payout. Likewise, a prop bet would also do wonders if the odds are more appealing.
Josh Blyden: +170
Jesse Stirn: -250
Blyden might have quality skills to win here, but the safest pick would be Stirn. He has recent success whereas Blyden has not been active in a while.
Spooky Express Pick: Jesse Stirn in Parlay or Prop
