The Orlando Magic and the red-hot and streaking Philadelphia 76ers clash in a critical game as the season ends Friday night inside the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, PA. They tip it off at 7:00 pm. This is a massive game for the 76ers regarding the Eastern Conference playoff race seedings.  Bookmaker has installed the 76ers as a solid - 6.5-point favorite. 

The 76ers (45-35) picked a great time to start playing some of their best basketball of the season. They have ripped off six straight wins and are a completely different team once franchise center Joel Embiid is out on the floor. Embiid's presence makes the whole team come alive, and you can feel the energy on the floor when he is out there.

Even though he missed time this season, Philadelphia is a wholly different and more dangerous team when he is out there, healthy and engaged. He is among the best players in the league, and he can quickly go for 40-plus on any night. He also provides a spark on the defensive end of the floor for the 76ers, who will need that presence come playoff time. 

The 76ers have also gotten a brilliant season from rising star Tyrese Maxey, who has blossomed into one of the game's most electric players when he puts the ball on the floor. Look for the 76ers to get Maxey involved early, and if they can get a nice 

The Magic (46-34) have enjoyed a decent season and have been able to sneak up on some teams, but they believe this is not a fluke. They also feel they have the talent to make a deep run into the Eastern Conference playoffs. 

On offense, they are paced by star Paolo Banchero, who is averaging around 22.5 points per game and 6.8 boards per contest. The Magic love what they are getting out of him and feel they can continue to build a team around him moving forward. 

Orlando also gets some solid contributions from small forward Franz Wagner, who is chipping in with 19.6 points per game. He missed Wednesday's game with an ankle issue, and they would love to have him on the floor against the 76ers. 

They are a decent shooting team from the floor and will also look to get the ball inside the paint to Banchero. They connect on 53% from the floor, including 35% from beyond the arc. They can win this game if they can get some clean looks at the basket and get Embiid in early foul trouble.
