The 2024 ReliaQuest Bowl will take place on Monday, January 1^st, at 12:00 PM ET and will feature the Wisconsin Badgers facing the 13^th-ranked LSU Tigers in Tampa, Florida at Raymond James Stadium.

 

The Wisconsin Badgers finished the regular season with a record of 7-5 which led to a 2^nd place finish in the West Division of the Big Ten Conference and are on a two-game winning streak following a 28-14 win on the road against the Minnesota Golden Gophers in their season finale. Wisconsin featured one of the best scoring defenses in college football this season as they are allowing 18.92 points per game which ranks 19^th in college football, however, they were a below-average team on offense as they averaged 22.83 points per game but had an above-average rushing offense that averaged 163.08 rushing yards per game. 

 

Braelon Allen played a pivotal role in the success the rushing offense had this season as he leads the team in rushing with 984 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns while adding 28 receptions for 132 yards. The Wisconsin Badgers will look to end the season on a three-game winning streak when they play the LSU Tigers.

 

LSU was one of the best offensive teams in college football this season and has the 2023 Heisman Trophy Winner, Jayden Daniels, to thank for that as he led the team in passing and rushing yards with 3,812 passing yards with 40 touchdowns and four interceptions while rushing for 1,134 yards and ten touchdowns. Daniels’s play helped the Tigers become the highest-scoring team in college football this season as they enter this game averaging 46.42 points per game. 

 

However, Jayden Daniels will not play in this game as he has opted out to prepare for the 2024 NFL Draft. The Tigers did end the season winning six of their final seven games and are on a three-game winning streak following a 42-30 win at home against the Texas A&M Aggies in their season finale. The scoring defense for the Tigers left much to be desired as they enter this game allowing an average of 27.75 points per game.

 

The LSU Tigers will look to extend their winning streak to four games when they play the Wisconsin Badgers in the 2024 ReliaQuest Bowl on Monday afternoon.
