Seattle Seahawks vs. Tennessee Titans

August 17, 2024

The Seattle Seahawks (1-0) and Tennessee Titans (1-0) aim to keep their NFL preseason win streak alive when they battle on Saturday, August 17, at 7:00 PM ET at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee. The Titans are slight favorites heading into this one with a point spread of -1.5 (-110).

Seattle Seahawks Betting Preview

The Seahawks are coming off a 16-3 victory over the Los Angeles Chargers in the preseason opener. They opened the game with a 13-point second quarter and comfortably coasted the rest of the game.

Sam Howell showed great promise under center with two excellent scoring drives. He threw 16-27 and gained 130 yards with a touchdown. Being aggressive early will be key to the offense's lead.

Kenny McIntosh had eight carries that amassed 40 yards. Dareke Young had just three receptions that equaled 44 yards. They both will need to be on point for the offense to have a shot at success.

The Seahawks' defense was excellent in slowing the Chargers down to 198 yards. They also forced a turnover and landed 20 first downs compared to nine by the Chargers.

Tennessee Titans Betting Preview

The Titans hope to get above .500 this season after going 6-11 last year. Obtaining a win in the preseason is a good sign, but winning all of them would be more appealing. They won their first one 17-13 over the San Francisco 49ers.

Quarterback Will Levis was critical in landing two drives downfield that resulted in touchdowns, and were up 14-7 at the half. On top of that, Mason Rudolph added 126 yards with 10 of his 17 passes completed to show some solid depth to the position.

Malik Willis led the team with four carries and 42 yards, showing he can be versatile (QB/RB). Julius Chestnut had two receptions for 37 yards. They each have an opportunity to click with the offense and see how they play with each quarterback.

The Titans allowed 286 total yards and caused one turnover (but had one themselves). The biggest key was having possession of the ball for around 35 minutes. Based on this performance, they could have another close one in the upcoming matchup.
