An exciting lightweight showdown is coming up soon for UFC on ESPN 52, with the main event showing fourth-ranked Beneil Dariush (22-5-1) and eighth-ranked Arman Tsarukyan (20-3-0). The moneyline odds show that Tsarukyan is moderately favored at -300.

Dariush recently had his eight-fight win streak snapped when he faced Charles Oliveira at UFC 289 in June this year. This was a first round TKO, marking his fourth career defeat by knockout and third one total losing in the opening round.

Out of his 22 wins so far, he has five knockouts, eight submissions, and nine decisions. Eight of his 22 wins have ended in the first round, showing he is a solid threat to start a fight with.

He has a striking accuracy at 49 percent and lands takedowns at a rate of 34 percent. His significant strike ratio is appealing, as he delivers 3.79 significant strikes and only takes on 2.63 in return.

Dariush’s defenses are solid too, as he defends against significant strikes at 58 percent while also thwarting takedowns at 81 percent. For ground action, he lands 1.91 takedowns that result in 0.88 submissions per 15 minutes of fight time.

Tsarukyan is currently on a two-fight win streak heading into this exciting battle. His recent performance was a third round TKO over Joaquim Silva at UFC on ESPN 47 in June.

He has accumulated a balanced resume with 20 wins, consisting of eight knockouts, five submissions, and seven decisions. Seven of these wins have resulted in an opening round victory, showing that he can also dismantle someone quickly. In addition, just two of his three losses have come by decision.

“Ahalkalakets” has a striking accuracy at 48 percent and has a takedown accuracy rate of 36 percent. His significant strike ratio is more appealing than Dariush, with 3.82 delivered each minute while absorbing just 1.91. This will ultimately be the difference in this fight.

Tsarukyan has solid defensive skills, with a 54 percent defense against significant strikes and 75 percent against takedowns.  He also manages 3.43 takedowns per 15 minutes of fight time.

MyBookie is showing that Arman Tsarukyan is a moderate favorite to win. Based on his odds if you select him to win, you should consider adding him to a parlay with other fights from the night or choose a prop bet that would pay out more.

Darioush has shown to have a glass chin in a division where that is not ideal to have. Look for Tsarukyan to finish this early by knockout or add him to a parlay.
