Jonathan Pearce (14-4-0) will battle against Joanderson Brito (15-3-1) as the last fight in the prelims for UFC Fight Night 232 on Saturday, November 18. Pearce is a slight favorite to win with a moneyline at -130.

Pearce has won his last five fights and is now 5-1 in his UFC battles. His most recent success was a unanimous decision over Darren Elkins at UFC on ESPN 42 in December of last year.

He has compiled 14 wins that consist of nine knockouts, two submissions, and three decisions. He has one knockout resulting in a first round finish, which shows he is not a huge threat to end it in the opening round. He also has two submission losses out of four overall.

Brito has been successful in his last three fights coming into this matchup, which he is now 3-1 in the UFC. His most recent success was a first round knockout over Westin Wilson at UFC on ESPN 48 in July earlier this year.

He has established 15 wins so far with seven knockouts, six submissions, and two decisions. 10 of his wins have resulted in first round finishes. Out of his three losses, he has one per category listed.

“Tubarao” strikes with an accuracy at 53 percent and has been landing takedowns successfully at 73 percent of the time. His significant strike ratio is appealing, as he delivers 4.02 and absorbs 2.92 significant strikes each minute. This is a favorable ratio, but not as powerful as Pearce’s.

He defends solidly against significant strikes at 51 percent, but has not been tested against takedowns in the UFC. He also averages 3.89 takedowns and 0.49 submissions in each 15 minutes of fight time.
