UFC Fight Night Betting Preview: Lucas Alexander vs. Jeka Saragih
November 18, 2023
Featherweights Lucas Alexander (8-3-0) and Jeka Saragih (13-3-0) will clash in the upcoming UFC Fight Night 232 on Saturday, November 18. Alexander is a heavy moneyline favorite to win at -520.
Location: UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada
Date: Saturday, November 18, 2023
Main Card: 5:00 PM ET
Prelims: 2:00 PM ET
Coverage: ESPN+
Jeka Saragih Betting Preview
Saragih recently had his five-fight win streak snapped when he faced Anshul Jubli back at UFC Fight Night 218 in February of this year. This was a second round TKO defeat and his first loss in the UFC where he is now 2-1.
In his 13 wins, he has earned eight knockouts, four submissions, and one decision. Seven of these 13 triumphs have ended within the first round and two of his three defeats have come by submission.
“Si Tendangan Maut” had previously gone 11-2 in One Pride MMA before taking a shot at the UFC. In all three of his career defeats, they have been on the ground in some form (with two by submission and the other being a ground and pound).
Despite making his failed first appearance in the UFC, he has a great opportunity to get back on track. However, he will need to defend better if the fight takes a turn to the ground.
Lucas Alexander Betting Preview
Alexander was recently able to get his first win in the UFC and is now 1-1 in the promotion. His recent victory was a unanimous decision over Steven Peterson at UFC on ESPN 43 in March of this year.
Out of his eight wins, he has three knockouts and five decisions. He does not yet have any first round finishes, as majority of his wins extend past the first round. In addition, all three of his defeats have come by submission.
“The Lion” strikes with an accuracy at 52 percent, but nothing for takedowns in the UFC yet. He lands an outstanding 5.05 significant strikes each minute and takes on 1.76 in return. If he can keep this up, it will play a huge role in his success.
He defends well against significant strikes at 72 percent and against takedowns at 67 percent. He does not yet have any averages for takedowns or submissions per 15 minutes of action in the UFC.
