UFC Fight Night Betting Preview: Manon Fiorot vs. Rose Namajunas
September 2, 2023
Coming up soon in the next UFC Fight Night, there is a women’s flyweight bout that could potentially be one of the best fights on the main card. In the co-main event, check out third ranked Manon Fiorot and second ranked Rose Namajunas for this wagering opportunity.
Location: Accor Arena, Paris
Date: Saturday, September 2, 2023
Main Card: 3:00 PM ET
Prelims: 12:00 PM ET
Coverage: ESPN+
Manon Fiorot Betting Preview
Fiorot is the third best fighter in the women’s flyweight division, ranked 10
th
as the best women’s pound for pound fighter, and is currently looking for her 11
th
straight win. Her most recent success was a unanimous decision over Katlyn Chookagian back in October of last year at UFC 280.
Looking at her 10 victories, six come from knockout and the other four have been decisions. She has one win that ended within the first round and her only loss was a split decision to start her career.
“The Beast” has landed strikes with an accuracy of 53 percent, but takedowns have been lacking at 15 percent. Her significant strike ratio is great, as she delivers 5.30 every minute and takes on 3.48.
She does a good job at defending, with a 51 percent average against significant strikes and 65 percent against takedowns. She also throws in 0.33 takedowns and 0.17 submissions each 15 minutes.
Rose Namajunas Betting Preview
Namajunas ranks second in the flyweight division and is the fourth best pound for pound fighter. She is looking to get back on track after a split decision defeat against Carla Esparza, her second loss to her, back in UFC 274 in May of last year.
She has established 11 wins on her resume, which include two knockouts, five submissions, and four decisions. Four of these victories have resulted in first round finishes and three of her five defeats have been by decision.
“Thug” delivers an impressive 41 percent striking accuracy alongside a successful takedown rate of 58%. Her striking game remains solid, maintaining an average of 3.66 significant strikes per minute while absorbing 3.50 in return. This ratio could use some improvement, but it has not hurt her too bad.
Furthermore, she exhibits commendable defensive prowess, deflecting approximately 61 percent of significant strikes and thwarting 65 percent of takedown attempts. In addition, she achieves an average of 1.61 takedowns and 0.59 submissions per 15 minutes of action.
Game Odds, Series Trends and Free Pick
Mybookie is currently offering the following odds, with Manon Fiorot as a moderate favorite to win. If you are considering her as the winner, you could add her to a parlay with other bouts in action for the night to boost the moneyline.
Rose Namajunas: +154
Manon Fiorot: -185
This will be a close fight, but Namajunas is appealing if she stays on the ground. Look for the submission victory.
Final Pick: Take Rose Namajunas to Win at +154
