Corey Conners - Pretty hard to ignore Corey Conners this week, knowing he has won two times at this course including last year, and 2020.  He has always played well here, making the cut in all 5 times he played this tournament and never finishing worse than 35^th place.  He comes in to this tournament by improving each of his last 3 golf tournaments and we think he has a legit shot at winning this week! 

Alex Noren - Last year was the first time Noren played in the Valero Texas Open.  He finished in 15^th place, which is very respectful since he had no experience here. Add in the fact that Noren has finished inside the Top 20 in each of his last three tournaments and it makes him a a must play golfer this week! He comes in at 30/1, which is a tremendous amount of value against this caliber of competition in this tournament. 

Akshay Bhatia - Let’s start with the bad points….. He has never finished higher than 46^th place in the two times he has played here. Now that this is out of the way, we can look at the fact that he is coming into this tournament with very good form finishing in 11^th and 17^th place in his last two tournaments. His odds are 50/1, and that is just too good to ignore. 

Christiaan Bezuidenhout - These odds on Bezuidenhout are ridiculous! This guy is playing awesome golf right now, finishing in 9^th place at the Valspar Championship, 13^th at the Players Championship and 44^th at the Arnold Palmer.  Definitely one to watch this week. 

Billy Horschel - I tried but I couldn’t talk myself out of this one. He has played well here no doubt and comes in with very good form but his odds are insanely low this week.  I will search around late Wednesday and early Thursday and if I can get him at a reasonable price, he is a play for us. 

Matti Schmid - If you are looking for a potential longshot, look at Schmid.  He has experience here, playing here last year and finishing in 46^th place. He has been playing very reasonable with a 21^st place finish at Texas Children’s Houston Open, 17^th at the Valspar Championship, 26^th at the Players Championship and 10^th in the Puerto Rico Open. He is listed at 150/1 at some sportsbooks and definitely worth a look!
